Pre-Closing Checklist for Buyers
Prior to closing, please provide us with the following:
- The Homeowners/Hazard Insurance policy information
- Your Identification Information, Social Security Number
- If applicable, Copies of Powers of Attorney, Wills, Trusts, or Corporate Documents
Please bring the following to the Closing:
(Remember to do your final walk-through of the property with your agent prior to closing)
- Two forms of identification. One MUST be a photo ID and the second can be any identification other than a credit card (Examples: Insurance card, membership card, carrying license, passport, etc.) Note: The name on the IDs must match the name on the closing documents.
- If applicable, THE ORIGINAL signed Power of Attorney (approved by our office)
- Copy of the Declaration Page of your Homeowner's/Hazard Insurance policy
- Certified funds for closing in the amount shown on your preliminary Settlement Statement. (PLEASE NOTE: PURSUANT TO GEORGIA LAW ANY AMOUNT DUE FROM THE BUYER AT CLOSING IN EXCESS OF $5000 MUST BE IN THE FORM OF EITHER WIRED FUNDS OR FUNDS DRAWN ON A GEORGIA ATTORNEY'S TRUST ACCOUNT)
- Your personal checkbook to cover any adjustments to the Settlement Statement at closing
- Any additional documents requested by your mortgage lender
